Help notes:- Your national insurance number and Tax reference should be shown on your payslips. You can make this claim for earlier years if the circumstances apply. You will need to tick the box for each relevant year. Send the form to your tax officeThe person dealing with your wages will be able to let you know the address of your Tax office. What happens nextOnce the Tax office have accepted your claim they will send you an amended tax code for the year 2003/2004 which should include a 'job expenses' allowance of £70. If you have made a claim to Tax relief for an earlier year the Inspector will include a £70 allowance for each year in your Tax code. The Tax relief will then be given by a reduced Tax deduction each week/month.
