Payroll GivingThe Government hope this incentive will double the amount of money given through the payroll system. This is a wonderfull opportunity for you to raise funds by providing an attractive incentive for employees to donate on a regular basis. How Does It Work? The employer deducts the agreed amount before tax and sends all the money to the Inland Revenue approved agency once a month - the agency does the rest. What Does It Cost The Employer?Nothing - any costs that are incurred by the employer can be offset against profits for tax purposes. What Does It Cost The Donor? Not as much as you might think! - for instance a £10 gift will only cost donors £7.80 (£6 if they are a higher rate tax payer). Take a look at our Payroll Bureau pages.
